Andreas Feininger's personal archive is on deposit at the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, Arizona. All negatives and prints made by Feininger for Life when he was a staff photographer belong to Time Inc. The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC has a complete set of prints from Feininger's 1963 retrospective exhibition, and the International Center of Photography, New York, has a complete set of the 1976 retrospective exhibition. The Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg has a set of prints of old Hamburg, and the New York Historical Society has a full set of prints from Feininger's book New York in the Forties.
